Aaron was introduced to Rugby several years ago but didn't get involved until his nephew asked about playing. With the closest youth club a few hours away, Aaron realized that by creating a local club it would give more kids the option to play. Aaron recently obtained his Level 200 Coaching certificate and is excited to see the club grow!

Bob grew up in Jacksonville, playing tennis, running cross country and racing bicycles; it wasn’t until his junior year at Auburn University that he began playing rugby. With an endurance sport background, it was a tough transition into a contact sport, but with a solid set of teammates and hrs in the gym, success came slowly. After Auburn University, Bob moved to San Diego on a whim and played 3 seasons for Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC) before he made his way back to Jacksonville and played his last 8 years for the Jacksonville Rugby Club. Along the way, Bob was selected to play for the All-Florida team, as well as the South and Southern Cal all-star teams. In 2006, Bob was played for the Jacksonville Axemen in their inaugural year, and over the next 5 seasons, won a national championship and played for the US national team twice. More recently, Bob has obtained his level 200 coaching certification and taken on the role of our contact skills program development. Bob has been an integral part of rugby at all levels in Jacksonville and says he looks forward to helping the game grow in Jacksonville.
